Cashmere is one of the rarest natural fibres in the world, and its reputation is earned. Sourced from the soft undercoat of cashmere goats, the yield from a single animal amounts to only a few ounces each year, making it a fibre defined by scarcity as much as quality. That scarcity is what gives cashmere its value, and why a garment made from it feels immediately different to anything else.
What sets cashmere apart is not just its softness but the way it performs. It is significantly warmer than standard wool yet a fraction of the weight, breathes naturally with the body, and holds its shape with minimal effort. A well-made cashmere piece does not just feel refined on the first wear. It improves with every one after that.
At Marencio, cashmere is used where it belongs: in pieces that are designed to be kept. Not bought for a season, but worn for years.
Our linen begins as a flax plant, one of the most resilient crops in nature. What it produces is a fibre that is naturally breathable, clean in texture, and built to last. At Marencio, we choose linen because it embodies exactly what we stand for: a material that earns its place through substance rather than show.
It keeps cool against the skin, holds its structure without stiffness, and moves naturally with the body. It is the obvious choice for warm weather pieces where comfort and appearance need to work equally hard. The man wearing it should feel as composed as he looks.
Most fabrics peak on the first wear. Linen is different. It softens with every wash, its character deepens over time, and the more it is worn the more it feels like it belongs to you. That is why it has a place in the Marencio collection. Not for a season, but for years.
Marencio suede begins with the finest sheepskin, chosen for its naturally soft texture, breathability, and elegant drape. The hide is carefully buffed to reveal a velvety nap that sits close to the skin without weight or stiffness. The result is a loafer that feels as considered as it looks, combining refined summer style with a comfort that needs no breaking in.
Sheep suede is prized for qualities that no synthetic material can replicate. Its pores breathe naturally, its structure moves with the foot rather than against it, and its hand-feel is fine and supple from the first wear. For a loafer worn through long summer days, there is simply nothing better.
Our suede is finished through a slow tanning process that enhances the depth and character of the hide without compromising its natural tone. The surface is smooth and low-sheen, rich in colour, and designed to evolve with wear. Scuffs and softening are not flaws. They are evidence of a material doing exactly what it was made to do.
We chose sheep suede over calf suede deliberately. Calf suede is denser and better suited to winterwear and formal boots. Sheep suede is lighter, more pliable, and significantly softer against the skin, moulding naturally to the shape of the foot over time. For a loafer built around warm weather and effortless style, it is the only choice worth making.
